Terri Harper and Caroline Dubois Engage in Verbal Sparring

Tensions are high between Terri Harper and Caroline Dubois as they approach Sunday’s title fight. The British world champions continued their war of words in the lead-up to the contest at Olympia London. Harper and Dubois will fight for the unified lightweight world title.

Dubois Questions Harper’s Achievements

Dubois has been stoking the rivalry, questioning Harper’s achievements as a three-weight world champion. At Friday’s news conference, both fighters initially agreed that “talk is cheap.” However, the exchanges quickly resumed when the topic shifted to Harper pushing Dubois during a face-off earlier in the week.

Dubois confidently stated, “I’ve won every battle and I’ll continue to win every battle,” when asked about the psychological aspect of their rivalry. Dubois, considered a bright prospect in women’s boxing, is unbeaten in 13 professional fights, with 12 wins and one draw. She is also under Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions banner.

Harper, boasting a record of 16 wins, two losses, and two draws, has fought some of the sport’s leading names. She has previously held world titles at featherweight and light-middleweight.

“You can turn my mic off because Caroline will do all the talking,” Harper said as Dubois continued the verbal exchanges. Harper accused Dubois of being too active on social media and overlooking her opponent, stating she has been focused on preparation and staying off social media. Dubois retorted, “Don’t project, Terri.”

Brief Moment of Respect Quickly Dissolves

There was a brief moment of respect between the two fighters. Harper acknowledged, “Caroline is the best fighter that I’m going to fight and I’ve prepared for that.” Dubois reciprocated, insisting their rivalry was strictly professional. “I’ve got nothing against her as a human being, as a person. I’m sure she’s the nicest person in the world,” she said.

However, the truce was short-lived. When Dubois stated that respect could only be earned in the ring, Harper responded, “I do not want and I do not need Caroline’s re
