Susan Bandecchi’s dream of entering the main draw at the Roland Garros is still alive.
The Swiss player reached the third qualifying round after overcoming Dominika Salkova 6-3, 4-6, 7-5.
Bandecchi Survives Match Points
After winning the first set and losing the second, the 27-year-old had to save two match points against her opponent in the final set.
Bandecchi then managed to convert her third opportunity to close the match.
Her next opponent will be Viktoria Hruncakova.
Riedi Also Advances in Men’s Qualifying
Leandro Riedi also finds himself in the same situation in the men’s bracket.
Riedi eliminated Gianluca Cadenasso 6-7 (5/7), 6-4, 7-5.
However, Rémy Bertola was eliminated in the second qualifying round.
Bertola lost to Facundo Diaz Acosta 6-3, 6-4.
Teichmann Reaches WTA Rabat Quarter-Finals
Jil Teichmann has reached the quarter-finals of the WTA 250 in Rabat.
On the Moroccan clay, the Swiss player eliminated Alycia Parks, the number 8 seed, with a score of 6-3, 6-4.
