Scotland will play Curaçao in an international friendly at Hampden Park as they prepare for the FIFA World Cup.
Steve Clarke’s side are using the match to gear up for Scotland’s first World Cup appearance in almost 30 years.
Travel Advice for Supporters
ScotRail is encouraging football fans to travel by train to Hampden for the match against Curaçao.
To support matchday travel, ScotRail will operate additional trains and provide extra seats on services between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida, the closest station to Hampden.
Thousands of fans are expected to head to Glasgow for the 13.00 kick-off.
Supporters are encouraged to travel by rail and arrive early to enjoy the pre-match atmosphere.
Changes at Glasgow Central
Customers are being reminded that the Gordon Street and Union Street entrances to Glasgow Central remain unavailable.
Those travelling to the football, or via Mount Florida, should enter Glasgow Central via the Carriage Drive entrance off Hope Street, where a queuing system will be in place.
All other customers should use the low-level entrance on Argyle Street or the high-level entrance on Hope Street.
Extra ScotRail staff will be on hand throughout the day to provide assistance and direct customers.
Post-Match Travel
Following the match, supporters should make their way back to Mount Florida station and join the queue on Bolton Drive, accessed via Cathkinview Terrace.
Advance Tickets Recommended
Customers are encouraged to buy their return tickets to Mount Florida in advance as mTickets on the ScotRail app to help make journeys quicker and easier.
Phil Campbell, ScotRail Customer Operations Director, said ScotRail is looking forward to helping supporters travel to Hampden as the men’s national team continue preparations for this summer’s World Cup.
He added that ScotRail will be providing extra services and additional seats to help fans get to and from the match and travelling by train remains one of the easiest ways to reach the stadium.
Campbell advised customers to plan ahead, check their journey before travelling, and allow a little extra time as there will be queuing systems in place before and after the game.
ScotRail staff will be on hand throughout the day to help, and buying return tickets in advance on the ScotRail app will make journeys even smoother.
