West Indies Reflect on Defeat
West Indies captain Shai Hope felt his team could have scored more runs in the back end of their batting innings. Hope also acknowledged Sanju Samson’s great knock.
Hope commented on his team’s bowling performance, saying that they adjusted and adapted to the conditions nicely and the spinners did a great job. He added that the bowlers were great but they did not get over the line.
Reflecting on the tournament as a whole, Shai Hope said that you never want to end at this point. He gave the guys credit but added that you always want to go all the way and win, and they have high standards.

Suryakumar Yadav said that the team won’t think about the semi-final immediately. They plan to rest, relax, take a flight and start thinking about it when they reach Mumbai.
