Sam Kerr to Leave Chelsea at End of Season After Six Years

Sam Kerr is set to leave Chelsea when her contract expires this summer.

The 32-year-old striker, Chelsea’s all-time top scorer in the Women’s Super League, will depart after six years with the club.

Her final appearance will be at home against Manchester United on Saturday.

Kerr’s Successful Chelsea Career

Kerr has scored 115 times in 177 appearances for the Blues.

The Australian joined Chelsea in November 2019 and has enjoyed a trophy-laden spell.

During her time at Chelsea, Kerr has won 11 major trophies.

Kerr Reflects on Her Time at Chelsea

Kerr shared her feelings about her time with the club. “When I reflect on my Chelsea career and doing it for the last time [against Manchester United this Saturday], I just feel happy,” said Kerr.

“Happy that it happened, and I feel so grateful to have played for this club for six years and won as many trophies as we could.”

Kerr’s final game will be at home against Manchester United on Saturday.
