Salil Arora is set to make his debut for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the opening fixture of the 2026 IPL season.
Arora’s Acquisition and Role in the Team
Arora was acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad at the IPL auction for a price of Rs. 1.5 crore. The wicket-keeper batter from Punjab is expected to feature in the middle order for SRH.
Breakthrough Domestic Season
Arora enjoyed a strong domestic season in 2025, particularly in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He had a breakthrough campaign for Punjab, where he scored 358 runs from eight innings. Arora achieved this at a strike rate of nearly 200.
Highlight Performance Against Jharkhand
The highlight of his season came in a knockout game against Jharkhand. Arora scored a 39-ball hundred in that match.
Arora’s debut match will be against RCB.
