Saints Add Wide Receiver Brock Rechsteiner to Training Camp Roster

Brock Rechsteiner is joining the New Orleans Saints. The wide receiver and son of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner, earned an invitation to Saints training camp after trying out over the weekend at rookie minicamp.

Rechsteiner’s Athletic Profile

Rechsteiner previously played at Jacksonville State. He is listed at 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds and timed the 40-yard dash in 4.48 seconds. His Relative Athletic Score is 8.33.

Rechsteiner had 36 receptions for 383 yards and 5 touchdown catches last year. He was second-most in each category at Jacksonville State.

Competition at Wide Receiver

Rechsteiner joins a crowded group of wide receivers. The Saints have starters returning from last season in Chris Olave and Devaughn Vele.

The Saints drafted three rookies: Jordyn Tyson, Bryce Lance, and Barion Brown. Other wideouts on the training camp roster include Mason Tipton, Bub Means, Kevin Austin Jr., Ja’Lynn Polk, Trey Palmer, Ronnie Bell, and Damien Alford.

Roster Implications

Signing Rechsteiner puts the Saints at 13 wide receivers. This brings the team up against the 90-man offseason roster limit. The Saints will need to start waiving players to make room for any new pickups.

Saints fans on social media have reacted to the signing.
