Ryan Strome Logs Assist in Ducks’ Victory Over Islanders

Ryan Strome registered an assist for the Ducks in their 5-1 win against the Islanders on Wednesday.

Strome’s Return to the Ice

Strome played for 15:01 in his first game action since Jan. 26. He also had a plus-2 rating.

The 32-year-old had seemingly fallen out of favour. The Ducks had often preferred to dress seven defencemen.

Strome had also been ill earlier in the week.

Season Performance

The 32-year-old forward’s season has been underwhelming. Over 33 appearances, he has only nine points.

  • 35 shots on net
  • 16 hits
  • 27 PIM
  • Minus-5 rating

Strome is unlikely to reach the 40-point mark this year. The last time he fell short of this was in 2018-19, when he played for both the Oilers and Rangers.

His performance this season has included 35 shots on net and 16 hits. He also has 27 PIM and a minus-5 rating.

Strome’s return saw him log an assist, but his ice time indicates a potentially reduced role.
