Rory McIlroy Withdraws from RBC Heritage Signature Event

Rory McIlroy is withdrawing from the RBC Heritage.

The tournament is a signature event held at Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

Strong Field Despite McIlroy’s Absence

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, the 2024 champ, is scheduled to compete. Defending champion Justin Thomas and reigning FedEx Cup champion Tommy Fleetwood are also in the field.

Max Homa and Tony Finau have received sponsor exemptions. Jordan Spieth and Michael Thorbjornsen are in via their spot on the current season FedEx Cup point list.

Johnny Keefer, the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Player of the Year, and Korn Ferry Tour Championship winner Chandler Blanchet are in through the Aon Swing 5.

McIlroy’s Limited History at Harbour Town

McIlroy has only played the RBC Heritage twice. His appearances were in 2020 and 2024.
