Roman Reigns has fuelled debate after claiming that WWE is the place to be for wrestlers who want to be at the very top.
Reigns’ remarks have been interpreted as a statement of professionalism, not tribalism.
Reigns on WWE’s Position
According to Reigns, “There’s no true competition for us. There’s other promotions, there’s other places to work in wrestling. But if you want to be in the top show, if you want to be considered at the very tippy top of the mountain, you have to be in WWE.”
Reigns made the comments to Nico Leonard in 2026.
Professionalism Over Rivalry
Reigns’ comments have been described as remarkably surgical. While some fans may be upset by his words, he avoided cheap shots.
Instead, he simply framed WWE as the ultimate standard of measurement. He also made a subtle but bold invitation: if you think you’re the best, prove it here.
This is seen as the calculated professionalism of a man who knows exactly where he stands, rather than hype.
