Roberto Mancini has publicly refuted reports linking him with the vacant managerial position at Sampdoria.
Mancini’s Strong Denial of Sampdoria Link
Mancini has responded to reports that he was contacted regarding the Sampdoria coaching role. The reports claimed Mancini was considered as a possible future manager for Sampdoria. It was suggested that he asked for a salary of around €2.5 million per season.
Mancini has denied the claims. He responded to the report by saying: “Ma quante s*******e dite”.
Details of the Sampdoria Coaching Situation
Following the dismissals of Salvatore Foti and Angelo Gregucci, Sampdoria have temporarily appointed Attilio Lombardo as manager. The club is reportedly evaluating various profiles for the permanent role. It was suggested that the club made contact with Roberto Mancini.
The reports stated that Mancini’s financial demands were considered too high by the club. This led to the possibility of Lombardo remaining in charge for at least the next three matches. Meanwhile, the club’s management continues to search for a new permanent coach.
After the Denial
Sampdoria are still looking for a new coach after the denial. Attilio Lombardo may remain as manager for the next three games.
