Raley’s home run extended Seattle’s lead. He hit a cutter from Colin Holderman 390 feet. The two-run shot made the score 5-1.
Young’s Three-Run Homer Starts the Scoring
Cole Young propelled the Mariners into the lead. The second-year second baseman hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning. Young’s homer came off a fastball from Gavin Williams.
DeLauter Continues to Impress Despite Loss
Chase DeLauter homered for the Guardians. The home run came in the first inning off a slider from George Kirby. DeLauter has three home runs in his first two career regular-season games.
