Cole Young propelled the Mariners into the lead. The second-year second baseman hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning. Young’s homer came off a fastball from Gavin Williams.

DeLauter Continues to Impress Despite Loss

Chase DeLauter homered for the Guardians. The home run came in the first inning off a slider from George Kirby. DeLauter has three home runs in his first two career regular-season games.
