The Nashville Predators have bolstered their draft stock for the 2027 NHL Draft. General Manager Barry Trotz has announced a trade that sees defenseman Nick Blankenburg heading to the Colorado Avalanche.
Draft Pick Acquired
In exchange for Blankenburg, the Predators have acquired a fifth-round pick in the 2027 NHL Draft from the Avalanche. This move increases Nashville’s holdings to a significant number of picks in that draft year.
Nashville now possesses a total of 12 picks in the 2027 NHL Draft. This includes four picks in the third round, and two each in the fourth and fifth rounds. The team also holds one pick in each of the first, second, sixth, and seventh rounds.
