The Polish Football Association (PZPN) has announced the death of Jacek Magiera, the assistant coach of the Polish national team. He was 49 years old. The announcement was made on the Łączy nas Piłka social media profile.
“The Polish Football Association received the information about the death of Jacek Magiera, the second coach of the Polish national team, with deep sadness and great regret,” the post on Facebook stated. PZPN has requested that the privacy of Magiera’s family be respected during this difficult time.
Magiera Taken to Hospital Before Death
Radio Wrocław reported that Magiera collapsed on Friday morning during a training run. He was transported to the Military Clinical Hospital in Wrocław. He died shortly after.
