Paul Pogba Available for Monaco’s Ligue 1 Clash Against Marseille

Paul Pogba is available for AS Monaco in their Ligue 1 match against Marseille.

The former France international has made just three appearances since his arrival last summer. After sustaining a calf injury in December, Pogba has yet to feature in 2026 for Les Rouge et Blanc.

Pocognoli’s Comments on Pogba’s Availability

Manager Sébastien Pocognoli said ahead of the Marseille match that Pogba was available for selection.

“He is available,” Pocognoli said. “There are still three sessions left, but he has been training continuously with the group since the start of the international break.

“Given the positive process, it’s a possibility he’ll be in the squad, yes. If he’s not there, it will mean we’ve decided together that everything isn’t quite ready for him to play in a league match yet. For now, there are no contraindications and things are going well. It’s still open.”

Pogba’s Return to Training and Recent Activity

The World Cup-winning midfielder took part in a friendly against Brentford’s U-23s during the international break, scoring his first goal in over four years.

During the international break, Pogba and fellow Monaco teammate Ansu Fati were seen training together at Barcelona’s facilities.

Background on Pogba’s Monaco Career

After serving an 18-month suspension for a doping violation while at Juventus, Pogba signed a two-year deal last summer, making his long-awaited return on Nov. 22 against Rennes.

Despite the excitement of Pogba’s return to the sport, the 33-year-old has only played 30 minutes for Monaco.

Monaco’s League Position

Currently, Monaco sits sixth in the league standings, accumulating 46 points in 27 matches this season.
