The Philadelphia Union are facing difficulties, marked by heated conversations amongst players on the pitch. The broadcast showed Indiana Vassilev gesturing at Jovan Lukić, with Olwethu Makhanya nearby. Another shot showed Danley Jean Jacques talking to Nathan Harriel.
Despite the on-field discussions, the Union suffered another defeat.
Atlanta Loss Highlights Union’s Woes
Atlanta scored ninety seconds after play resumed in the second half. Twenty-one minutes later, they scored another goal, making it 3-0. Agustín Anello scored a goal close to garbage time, making the final score 3-1.
This season marks the worst start in the Union’s history. They have lost four straight to begin the league campaign.
Manager Bradley Carnell addressed the team’s struggles in the postgame news conference. He said, “We’ve got to sharpen up who we are currently, what are we trying to do and what are we trying to accomplish.” He added, “this is a first for us, I believe, and this is not something that we are all particularly proud of.” Carnell stated he would “stand at the front and put my hand up, and make sure we’re going to fight to get back on track here.”

Bruno Damiani had two off-target shots, Jean Jacques had one, and Vassilev had one. Anello also missed with the net open.
Carnell noted a sense of anxiety within the team. He said, “There’s a lot of, I would say — I don’t want to say anxiety, but there’s a lot of that floating around, especially when things don’t go your way.” He added, “It feels like every bounce is going to the opponent, and how do you work that back in your favor? It’s by doing the basics really well, and we’re letting ourselves down with the basics right now.”
Alladoh’s Integration and Team Adjustments
Carnell chose not to start Ezekiel Alladoh. This came two days after he mentioned that Alladoh is still “getting a little bit more connected with the group.” There are no knocks on Stas Korzeniowski, who has earned a shot to start, despite questions about Alladoh.
Carnell said, “We’re still trying to get ‘Eze’ on-boarded with our pressing triggers and cues and everything like that and every day he’s learning.” He added, “Every day he’s getting more up to speed with how we do things, and the intensity levels n
