Open Championship Round 2: Favourable Weather Expected Today

Mother Nature is giving players a favourable start at Royal Birkdale, setting the stage for Round 2 of the 154th Open Championship. Warm temperatures, sunny skies and virtually no chance of rain are expected today. These conditions are poised to make for an incredibly comfortable day on the course.

Round 2 Weather Outlook

According to AccuWeather, another perfect day of weather is anticipated at Royal Birkdale. The forecast indicates a 0% chance of rain throughout the day. Clear skies are expected, with temperatures reaching a high of 76 and a low of 56. This combination promises pleasant playing conditions for golfers.

Wind and Playing Impact

While rain is not a concern, wind could play a role in Round 2. It seemed the wind picked up some in the afternoon during the previous round. Gusts are predicted to reach up to 22 mph today, allowing for a breeze across the greens. Jackson Suber made his run to the top of the leaderboard after 18 holes in the afternoon where the wind picked up.

The main concern at Royal Birkdale is wind, which has greater chances for impact this weekend.
