The Denver Nuggets are on the road on Saturday night as they travel to take on the Los Angeles Lakers in a Western Conference showdown.
Denver enters Saturday’s game with a 41-26 record after defeating the San Antonio Spurs on the road on Thursday night.
Los Angeles enters Saturday’s contest with a 41-25 record after defeating the Chicago Bulls at home on Thursday night.
Nuggets’ Injury Report
While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Saturday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.
For the Nuggets, they have three players listed on their injury report, including both Murray and Aaron Gordon.
Denver has listed Murray as probable and he is expected to play despite dealing with a left ankle sprain.
The Nuggets have also listed Gordon as probable due to right hamstring injury management and he is expected to return after missing Thursday’s victory over the Spurs.
Peyton Watson has bene ruled out as he remains sidelined while recovering from a right hamstring strain.
Lakers’ Injury Update
On the other side, the Lakers have two players listed on their injury report, though Marcus Smart is not one of them.
Smart missed Thursday’s victory over the Bulls due to hip injury but he is off the injury report and will return on Saturday.
Los Angeles has listed Jaxson Hayes as probable due to back soreness and he is expected to return after missing the last two games.
The Lakers have ruled out Maxi Kleber due to a lumbar back strain as he will miss his third consecutive contest.
Jokic and Doncic Lead the Way in Previous Games
In Thursday’s victory over the Spurs, Nikola Jokic led the way for the Nuggets as he recorded a triple-double with 31 points, 20 rebounds and 12 assists while Jamal Murray added 39 points and seven assists of his own.
Luka Doncic led the way for the Lakers in Thursday’s victory as he ended the game with 51 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists while Austin Reaves recorded 30 points, five rebounds and seven assists.
