The NFL is planning its most extensive international schedule yet for the 2026 season. Matchups for all nine International Games have been revealed, spanning four continents and seven countries. This announcement comes a day before the full regular-season schedule is released.
NFL to Debut in Australia
The league’s Australian debut features a high-profile contest between NFC West rivals, the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers. Both teams were in the playoffs in 2025. The game is slated to mark the debut of Trent McDuffie for the Rams. The 49ers should see the returns of Fred Warner and Nick Bosa.
The Rams have won four of the last five games against the 49ers. Their game will be the season’s second game, following the Seattle Seahawks’ opener. The Seahawks are the reigning Super Bowl champions and will play on a Wednesday.
Ravens and Cowboys Head to Brazil
For the third consecutive year, the NFL will play a game in Brazil, this time between the Baltimore Ravens and the Dallas Cowboys. Unlike previous games in South America, this game will take place in Week 3. This timing allows both teams to scout each other using footage from the first couple of games.
The Ravens hold a 6-1 record over the Cowboys. Lamar Jackson triumphed in his only head-to-head game against Dak Prescott in 2024. The Cowboys lost that game 28-25.
Prescott, supported by a revamped defence, will aim to even the score against Jackson. The Ravens will be in their first season under head coach Jesse Minter.
UK Games Announced
The NFL’s three-week stay in the United Kingdom will feature teams in need of strong comebacks. Both teams are returning to Europe for a second straight year. The Commanders lost to the Miami Dolphins in Madrid.
- Jacksonville Jaguars
- San Francisco 49ers
These teams will have international double-dips.
The 2026 NFL season promises a significant global presence with games across multiple continents.
