The Baltimore Ravens are reportedly scheduled to play a regular-season game in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, during the 2026 NFL season.
Sources indicate the Ravens will face the Dallas Cowboys in Brazil during the third week of the season. The Cowboys will be the designated home team for the match, which will be the first held at Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.
This marks the third NFL game to be played in Brazil.
Ravens’ International Game History
The Ravens have previously participated in two international games, both held in London. In 2017, they suffered a 44-7 defeat against the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, they secured a 24-16 victory over the Tennessee Titans in 2023.
Renovations Impact on Hosting
Due to a nearly $500 million project to renovate M&T Bank Stadium, the Ravens were reportedly unlikely to host this year’s international game. The NFL allows teams undergoing stadium renovations or opening new stadiums to maintain their full slate of home games.
Ravens’ Offseason Moves
The Ravens are coming off a season that saw them miss the playoffs for the first time since 2021. Following the disappointing season, the Ravens fired head coach John Harbaugh and replaced him with Jesse Minter.
The Ravens also explored a trade for pass rusher Maxx Crosby, but did not complete the acquisition. Instead, the Ravens signed free agent pass rusher Hendrickson to a four-year, $112 million contract.
The Ravens also lost Tyler Linderbaum, Isaiah Likely, and Patrick Ricard, who signed elsewhere.
Looking Ahead to the Draft
The Ravens currently hold the 14th overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft later this month.
The 2026 schedule will be released sometime in May.
