MJF Praises AEW’s Improved Locker Room Atmosphere Ahead of Revolution

AEW World Champion MJF has praised the current state of the All Elite Wrestling locker room, noting a significant improvement in atmosphere. As he prepares to defend his title against “Hangman” Adam Page in a Texas Death Match at AEW Revolution, MJF spoke about the positive changes within the company.

MJF on AEW’s Current Talent and Future

MJF emphasized the importance of the new, young talent in AEW. He stated the company is now focused on pushing individuals under 40 who are eager to be part of All Elite Wrestling. MJF made it clear that AEW only wants those who are fully committed to the promotion.

“Everyone in that locker room right now wants to be in AEW, because it’s the most competitive locker room. It’s where the best wrestle. It’s where you get compensated the way you should be compensated for your talents. It’s where you’re treated like a human being. And right now, there’s never been a better team atmosphere in the history of the AEW locker room. Am I a part of that team? Abso-f**king-lutely not, I hang out in my own locker room. But it’s nice to see everybody getting along.”

Addressing Past Locker Room Issues

MJF addressed the backstage drama that had previously overshadowed the on-screen product. He noted that the arrival and subsequent departure of CM Punk had dominated headlines for a three-year period. There were also instances of talent expressing frustration over a lack of TV time, with some eventually returning to WWE.

Improved Locker Room Environment

MJF believes the improved locker room environment is due to talent who are committed to AEW. According to Friedman, these individuals are focused on making AEW the best it can be. He stated that the locker room is now free of negativity and individuals who are not fully invested in the promotion.

“There’s no bullshit. There’s no more cancers. There’s no more a**holes that think they’re too cool for school. There’s no more shmegegges that think they should be elsewhere,” Friedman said, without naming any individuals in particular. “Everybody in this promotion wants to be in this promotion, and if you don’t, you get weeded out pretty damn fast because we’ll beat the s**t out of you and send you packing.”

MJF is scheduled to face Adam Page at AEW Revolution. Page will be putting his ability to challenge for the AEW World Championship on the line.
