Mirra Andreeva is aiming to secure her spot in the French Open’s fourth round for the third consecutive year. She faces Marie Bouzkova, with both players initially struggling to make an impact on the other’s serve.

Swiatek and Rublev Also Advance
Six-time Grand Slam winner Iga Swiatek beat fellow Pole Magda Linette to reach the fourth round at the French Open. Third seed Swiatek struggled for consistency but showed glimpses of her best, securing a 6-4 6-4 victory. The 24-year-old is nicknamed the “Queen of Clay” and is searching for the dominant form which made her a four-time Grand Slam champion at Roland Garros between 2020 and 2024. She will take on Ukrainian 15th seed Marta Kostyuk in the last-16 after her win over Switzerland’s Viktorija Golubic.
Eleventh seed Andrey Rublev has booked his place in the fourth round. Rublev saw off Portugal’s Nuno Borges in straight sets to register his quickest win here so far. He has reached 10 Grand Slam quarter-finals but never gone beyond that stage. Rublev will next face either Alex de Minaur or Jakub Mensik.
Other Matches and Conditions
Teenager Rafael Jodar is performing well against American Alex Michelsen. Jodar has won 17 of his 20 matches on clay this season. He took the first-set tie-break 7-2. Alex Michelsen had to save a break point in a long opening service game of the second set but is much more comfortable in this one. The American doesn’t drop a point as he edges ahead in the set when Rafael Jodar hits a forehand long.
It’s another hot day in Paris with temperatures set to reach a maximum of 34C. Mirra Andreeva has opted for a cap in the sun on Court Philippe Chatrier, but Marie Bouzkova has gone without so far.
It’s a solid start from both players whose nerves will be settled by winning their opening service games.
