Maxence Lacroix has been reflecting on his time with Crystal Palace, looking ahead to future success.
The French defender has enjoyed FA Cup glory with a 1-0 win against Manchester City, Community Shield success against Liverpool, and a first appearance in continental competition for the club, which has culminated in a run to the Conference League final.
High Praise for Oliver Glasner
The team are focused on giving Oliver Glasner a memorable send-off after his 27 months at Selhurst Park, aiming to beat Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday.
“We’ve got to focus on details because it’s going to be a big game. It’s just one game, so we have to be ready, we have to be focused. We play against a really good team, so I think we have our chance, but we have to be professional.
“He won the Europa League. He knows how stressful it is and how you have to prepare for this type of occasion. He gave us everything that we need to win. He knows that this is really important because the high level of football is about details. You have to be focused on every single detail, every single minute, so this is really important for us to win this trophy.
“When he came in the training ground, he gave us the desire to fight. This is also really important. He’s really a professional and we want to give everything for him. He gave us everything we need.
Memorable Moments So Far
Lacroix has already built up a strong memory bank with Crystal Palace.
“We’ve had a lot [of great memories] to be honest. But the game against Fiorentina at home was good. I really liked the Shakhtar Donetsk game also [in the semi-final]. Shakhtar was a really good team. But I think the best moment will be to come. I hope it’s going to be in the Final.”
