Man City Parade: Route, Timings, and Guardiola’s Farewell

Thousands of Manchester City fans are expected to attend the club’s open top bus parade. The parade celebrates the success of the men’s, women’s and academy teams this season.

The bank holiday celebration marks the club’s achievements. These include the men’s FA Cup trophy and Carabao Cup, the Women’s Super League trophy and the FA Youth Cup.

Parade Route and Timings

The City Parade show and build up starts at 16:00, with the open top buses setting off with the players and managers at 17:00.

The City Parade starts in the Northern Quarter and travels through Ancoats. It will approach the Etihad Stadium along Ashton New Road and end at The Colin Bell Stand reception with a final celebration moment.

On site parking will not be available at the Etihad Stadium, unless you have a ticket to The After Party at Co-op Live. The club are advising fans use public transport to get to the Etihad. Fans can find out more about travelling by tram including free parking at Park and Ride sites at Ashton Moss, Ashton West, and Ladywell on the Etihad Campus.

Guardiola’s Farewell

The parade is also a chance for fans to say farewell to Guardiola after the news of his departure.

Addressing his exit, the six-time Premier League winner said: “Don’t ask me the reasons I’m leaving. There is no reason, but deep inside, I know it’s my time. Nothing is eternal, if it was, I would be here. Eternal will be the feeling, the people, the memories, the love I have for my Manchester City.”

The After Party at Co-op Live

A separate celebration event, The After Party, is being held at Co-op Live.

Co-op Live is staging the event where fans can watch coverage of the parade, enjoy live music and welcome the players at about 18:30. Doors open at 15:00 with final entry at 17:00 and the event closes at 20:00.

Tickets are required for the After Party. Last entry to the After Party is at 17:00 when the City Parade begins. Footage from the City Parade will be shown live on screen at the After Party at Co-op Live.

City players and the three managers – outgoing Pep Guardiola, Andree Jeglertz and Oliver Reiss – will be presented to the crowd at the start of the parade in the Northern Quarter where there will be live music and a big screen.

Not for the City Parade and tickets are not required.
