Kris Boyd has made a Premiership prediction U-turn, stating that Celtic will win the league, provided they get past Motherwell on Wednesday night.
Celtic’s Title Hopes Depend on Motherwell Match
Boyd suggests that Celtic’s Old Firm win over Rangers, along with Hearts drawing at Fir Park, has reduced the gap at the top to just a point. He added that a Celtic loss in North Lanarkshire would open the door to a title win for Hearts, provided they beat Falkirk at Tynecastle.
“Wednesday night is huge, if Celtic can get through that and don’t lose, I don’t expect anything else except a Celtic victory on Saturday,” he said.

Hearts’ Chances Hing on Wednesday Result
Boyd believes Hearts’ best chance of winning the league is on Wednesday. “I think so. Benjamin Nygren is the only one yesterday who hasn’t laid his hands on a league title, and that matters.
“That’s something Martin has obviously looked at. This group of players has been over the course and did it; there have been players that you might’ve felt they’ve not, but that team that started yesterday.
“I think what Martin has done has been very clever because he’s just cut everyone else out, and it’s just been ‘I’m focusing on a team that knows how to win, that knows how to get the job done.”
“If Celtic do not lose the game at Fir Park on Wednesday, I think they will win the game on Saturday.”
Boyd noted that if it’s a full house at Celtic Park, Hearts have picked up a few injuries to key players. Craig Halkett’s been outstanding all season, and Marc Leonard has been really good since he came in. He said these are two key components in that Hearts team that have got them to this stage.
