Kingston Flemings Compares His Game to De’Aaron Fox

Kingston Flemings sees elements of his own basketball game in players like Tyrese Maxey and De’Aaron Fox.

Flemings on His Playing Style

Flemings believes he shares traits with Maxey and Fox, particularly their speed and ability to drive to the basket. He stated that they play really fast and get downhill.

He also noted their physicality. Flemings said they’re really physical and they’re getting to the rim.

According to Flemings, a key area for improvement is his strength. He stated that he needs to add weight and get a little stronger because Tyrese Maxey is a strong guy.

The Influence of Advice

Flemings recalled receiving advice to focus on being himself rather than emulating other players. He mentioned that he was trying to be Allen Iverson. He was told, Don’t be Allen Iverson, be Kingston Flemings.

He intends to show a team who he is when that team drafts him. That’s really what coach Sam talked to me about for sure, Flemings said.

Expanding His Game

Flemings is focused on developing his skills, drawing inspiration from Maxey’s progress in the NBA. He noted that Maxey didn’t shoot a lot of threes in college, but when he got to the NBA, he really expanded his game.

Flemings anticipates continuous improvement each year in the NBA. He stated, I think every single year I’m in the NBA, I’m going to be better and better.

Flemings aims to demonstrate his capabilities to any team that drafts him.
