Kings Face Warriors Amid Injury Concerns for Key Players

The Golden State Warriors will host the Sacramento Kings in a Western Conference game on Tuesday night.

The Warriors enter the game with a 36-42 record after losing at home to the Houston Rockets on Sunday night. The Kings’ record stands at 21-58 after their Sunday night loss at home to the Los Angeles Clippers. Both teams are hoping to secure a win, but several key players are listed on the injury report.

Warriors’ Injury List Includes Curry and Porzingis

The Warriors have eight players listed on their injury report. Stephen Curry is listed as probable with a right knee injury. He is expected to play, but his minutes may be limited. This will be Curry’s second game back after a 27-game absence. LJ Cryer is also listed as probable, due to illness.

Kristaps Porzingis is questionable due to right knee soreness and could miss his first game since April 1. Gui Santos, Al Horford and Quinten Post have been ruled out. Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody will both miss the remainder of the season.

Kings’ Injury Report: DeRozan Questionable

The Kings have six players on their injury report. DeMar DeRozan is questionable with right hamstring soreness and is in danger of missing his first game since March 29. Russell Westbrook has been ruled out due to a foot injury, and Keegan Murray remains sidelined with an ankle sprain.

Domantas Sabonis, Zach LaVine, De’Andre Hunter and Drew Eubanks have also been ruled out and will miss the remainder of the season.

Sunday’s Game Performances

In Sunday’s loss to the Rockets, Stephen Curry led the way for the Warriors with 29 points and four assists off the bench. Brandin Podziemski added 18 points and three assists.

Devin Carter led the way for the Kings in Sunday’s loss with 21 points, five rebounds and five assists. Nique Clifford recorded 18 points, five rebounds and five assists.

The Kings and Warriors are scheduled to play Tuesday night at 10:00 p.m. ET.
