Arsenal captain Kim Little has signed a new one-year contract.
Little’s History with Arsenal
Little first joined the club nearly 20 years ago in 2008. She has made 405 appearances across two spells with the club, scoring 177 goals. Little made the switch to Arsenal from Hibernian at the age of 17, having been scouted by manager Vic Akers. She departed in 2014 for spells at Seattle Reign and Melbourne City, winning league titles at both clubs, before returning to North London in 2017. A year later, she took the captain’s armband.
Accolades and Achievements
Little has won every club trophy possible during her time with Arsenal. This includes the UEFA Women’s Champions League title in Lisbon in May 2025. She has also lifted five league titles, three FA Cups, seven League Cups, one Community Shield and the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup.
Little scored 59 goals in 140 appearances for the Scotland national team between 2007 and 2021, when she announced her retirement from international football.
Individual Awards
Little has received several individual accolades during her career. These include PFA Player of the Year in 2013, BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year in 2016, and four inclusions in the PFA Team of the Year. She was awarded an MBE for services to football in the New Years Honours List in 2023.
