Kanye West is reportedly supportive of Kim Kardashian’s new relationship with Lewis Hamilton. According to a source close to the rapper, West views Hamilton as a ‘sweet, smart person, a good person and an incredible athlete’. The source added that Hamilton is an ‘acquaintance’ of West’s inner circle.
West’s Approval Contrasts With Feelings About Pete Davidson
The insider noted a stark contrast between West’s feelings about Hamilton and his previous animosity towards Pete Davidson, Kardashian’s former partner. ‘He did hate Pete Davidson,’ the source stated.
West’s disapproval of Davidson was evident during Kardashian’s nine-month relationship with the comedian, which occurred while she and West were finalising their divorce. West released a song threatening to ‘beat Pete Davidson’s ass’ and a music video in which he kidnapped and buried a cartoon version of Davidson, who he nicknamed ‘Skete’.
Kardashian described West’s behaviour at the time as unfair to Davidson, telling ‘Call Her Daddy’ host Alex Cooper, ‘That made me feel really sad’.
West Comfortable With Hamilton Around His Children
Hamilton recently accompanied Kardashian and three of her children with West – daughter Chicago, and sons Saint and Psalm – on vacation in Tokyo. West reportedly ‘feels at peace right now with Lewis being around his kids’. The source said, ‘He was trustful about that. He loves [Kardashian] in a way that he wants [the best for] her wellbeing.’
Saint and Hamilton were spotted shopping together at SNKRDUNK, a store selling shoes, clothing and rare Pokémon cards.
The source said West now ‘admits why he lost her’, acknowledging that he ‘brought a lot of chaos to her’. Kardashian has previously cited West’s ‘toxic’ behaviour, manic ‘episodes’, ‘lack of stability’ and ‘not feeling safe emotionally and financially’ as reasons for their split. She recalled instances such as returning home to find five new Lamborghinis, only for West to give them away to friends during an ‘episode’. Kardashian also said that her ex had revealed too many personal issues, including when he publicly said they had considered getting an abortion during her pregnancy with North.
West Focusing on Positives
The source says that West is now ‘at peace’ and focusing on his music and fashion. The rapper also ‘wants kids’ with Bianca Censori.
Kardashian recently went Instagram-official with Hamilton, posting a Reel of herself smiling in the passenger seat of a Ferrari while the Formula 1 driver does donuts.
