James Milner has retired from professional football, bringing an end to a Premier League career that spanned 24 years.
The former England international’s contract expired after his three-season stint with Brighton.

Milner, aged 40, played for six teams in England’s top flight. He broke the record for most Premier League appearances in February.
He started his career with Leeds.
Trophy-Laden Career
Milner won three Premier League titles. Two were with Manchester City and one with Liverpool.
