Wide receiver Jalen Nailor of the Minnesota Vikings is attracting attention as a potential free agent signing.
After the 2025 season, the Vikings are looking at finding a solution at quarterback after J.J. McCarthy’s performances. The Vikings also have their own free agents to consider, including Nailor.
Nailor Labelled as ‘Sleeper Free Agent’
Nailor, drafted by the Vikings in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, has become a secondary playmaker. Despite competition from Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and T.J. Hockenson, Nailor has made an impact.
Nailor had his best season in 2025, recording 29 receptions for 444 yards and four touchdowns. He frequently connected with McCarthy, even when other players struggled.
Now, Nailor is about to enter the open market, with a possibility of joining a new team. While the Vikings may want to re-sign him, Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano of ESPN have listed him as a top “sleeper free agent”.
Fowler and Graziano wrote that Nailor was never fully utilized in Minnesota, but the coaches like him.
Limited Opportunities in Minnesota
Teams across the league believe Nailor has potential that he won’t be able to realise with the Vikings. Playing alongside Jefferson and Addison draws attention away from Nailor.
He may not reach his full potential playing alongside two star pass catchers who command a lot of targets.
- Nailor was drafted in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
- In 2025, he posted 29 receptions and 444 receiving yards.
- He also scored four touchdowns.
The limited number of available wide receiver options in free agency increases Nailor’s value.
Speedy playmakers are valuable, and while Minnesota may try to keep Nailor, he could find a new team this offseason.
There is a real shot that Nailor lands with a new team.
