Canelo Alvarez has received a significant financial offer to face Jake Paul. Paul announced on a live stream that he has spoken with Alvarez and met his financial demands for a potential fight.
Paul’s $200 Million Offer
According to Jake Paul, Canelo Alvarez wants $200 million for the fight. Paul stated, “Canelo wants 200 million. I have the 200 million dollars for you, easy money. Jake Paul vs Canelo, let’s get it done. This is what the fans have been waiting for. This is the biggest fight that can possibly be made in boxing.
Paul claims Alvarez is open to the idea. “Canelo says he’s down on the phone, so we’re going to make it happen. I have the 200 million and I think that’s going to be the next fight. Sign the contract Canelo. Much respect to you, let’s make the biggest fight in boxing happen.”
Alvarez’s Current Plans
Alvarez is currently recovering from elbow surgery. He last fought in September, suffering a loss to Terence Crawford in their undisputed super-middleweight title battle. Alvarez is scheduled to return to the ring in September against WBC super-middleweight champion Christian Mbilli in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Prior to Anthony Joshua fight, Alvarez opted to sign a four-fight deal with Riyadh Season. He indicated that a potential fight with Paul would occur later in his career, after he is finished with championship-level competition.
