Inter Miami Face New England Amidst Injury and Suspension Woes

Inter Miami CF are preparing to meet the New England Revolution, with both teams facing player availability challenges.

Revs’ Injury Concerns Mount

The New England Revolution’s squad is dealing with a number of injuries. Matt Polster is out with a lower body injury, marking his fourth consecutive match missed since exiting the game against CF Montreal on April 4th. Brayan Ceballos is questionable due to a lower body injury. Head Coach Marko Mitrović described Ceballos as “day-to-day” and stressed the importance of not rushing his return.

Jackson Yueill is also questionable with a lower body injury, having missed the last two matches. His last appearance was on April 11th against D.C. United, where he played 60 minutes. David Ayala is out with a left adductor injury, missing his third straight game.

Leo Campana will be absent for his fifth consecutive match as he works to regain full fitness. After scoring in New England’s 4-1 loss to Nashville, Campana has only played 19 minutes off the bench in the last seven matches.

Inter Miami’s Suspension and Injury Issues

Inter Miami also have their own player issues to contend with. Yannick Bright is suspended, missing his second consecutive game after his suspension was extended for violating the league’s Non-Discrimination Policy. Bright has two assists in seven appearances this year.

Telasco Segovia will serve a one-game suspension for yellow card accumulation after receiving his fifth yellow card. Segovia has a goal and four assists in 11 appearances this year. Mateo Silvetti will miss his second consecutive match due to a hamstring injury. Silvetti has two goals and two assists in 10 appearances for Miami.

Sergio Reguilon’s injury-hit season continues as he misses his third straight match, marking his third separate injury spell of the season. So far in 2026, Reguilon has played 153 minutes in three appearances.

Mitrović’s Approach to Player Recovery

Mitrović has emphasised caution with players returning from lower body injuries, highlighting the importance of not rushing them back to prevent further injury.

Marko Mitrović and the New England Revolution return to action for the second time this week as they travel to Nu Stadium in Miami, Florida, for a meeting with second-placed Inter Miami CF.
