The Indiana Fever have been active, re-signing both Kelsey Mitchell and Lexie Hull. The Fever also landed free agent forward Monique Billings.
Billings Joins Indiana Fever
Monique Billings has played with the Atlanta Dream, Dallas Wings, Phoenix Mercury and Golden State Valkyries. In her eight years in the WNBA, she has career averages of 6.3 points and 5.6 rebounds.
Billings played alongside Mitchell on Hive BC in the 2026 Unrivaled season. She also played with Caitlin Clark on Team USA during the FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament.
Billings’ Request to Fever Fans
Following her move to Indiana, Billings shared her excitement about joining the Fever, noting that she’s “thrilled” to be part of the franchise.
“Ready to get to work with my team. Championship mindset, mentality, hustle, grit — all of those things that Indiana basketball stands for. I’m excited to be part of it. Excited to play in front of the amazing fans as well,” Billings said in a video shared by the team.
Billings made a request as she transitions to a new team and adjusts to a new city. The 29-year-old asked fans to point her to great food spots in Indiana, as she’s a foodie.
“And y’all gotta put me on the food spots in Indy,” Billings added. “Y’all know I like to eat. Let me know where the spots are.”
Food Options in Indy
Billings shouldn’t have a hard time getting good food and finding dining spots in Indy. Her new teammates are likely ready to help her.
Several Fever players even bonded by attending the Indiana State Fair last season.
Billings’ Impression of the Fever
It will definitely be interesting to see how Billings fares with the Fever alongside Clark and the rest of the team. Billings said that one of the biggest factors in her decision to join Indiana was how the team made her “feel wanted and valued.”
The Indiana Fever made a splash on the first day when WNBA teams could start signing free agents.
