Grayson Allen is set to feature, but Mark Williams will miss the Suns-Warriors play-in clash on Friday night. The match in Phoenix determines the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference playoff bracket.
Allen Returns From Hamstring Issue
Both Allen and Williams were initially listed as questionable on Thursday’s injury report. Williams was subsequently downgraded on Friday. No other Suns players were on Friday’s NBA injury report.
Allen’s availability comes after he missed the Suns’ defeat to the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday. He is managing a left hamstring strain, previously described as soreness.
During the regular season, Allen averaged 3.1 made 3-pointers on 8.9 attempts across 51 games. He also posted a career-best average of 16.5 points per game.
Williams Ruled Out With Foot Soreness
Williams started on Tuesday and contributed four points from 2-of-3 shooting in 22 minutes. He also recorded four rebounds, three blocks and two assists. He is sidelined with left foot soreness, having previously dealt with a stress reaction in the same foot earlier in the season.
The 7-foot-1 center set career-highs in starts (55) and game appearances (60) during the regular season. He averaged 11.7 points (64.4% shooting), eight rebounds and 0.9 blocks.
Porzingis Questionable for Warriors
NBA trade deadline acquisition Kristaps Porzingis is questionable for Golden State. He is suffering from right ankle soreness after playing 28 minutes on Wednesday. He contributed 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting, five rebounds, five assists and two blocks in that game.
Backup center Quinten Post has been ruled out with right foot injury management.
- Jimmy Butler (right ACL surgery) remains out for Golden State.
- Moses Moody (left patellar tendon surgery) remains out for Golden State.
The Warriors, the No. 10 seed in the regular season standings, defeated the Los Angeles Clippers for a shot at a postseason berth.
The game will be streamed exclusively on Prime Video.
