Giants’ Jaxson Dart Makes Tim Tebow Comparison After Weight Training

New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart referenced former NFL player Tim Tebow when discussing his offseason weight training on Thursday.

Dart Comments on Weight and Strength

Dart told reporters that he was at roughly the same weight compared to his rookie season. He joked that he’s “not like Tim Tebow” when asked about potential dangers of becoming too strong.

Tebow is known for his strength. He displayed this during his brief NFL career and college tenure at Florida, where he captured two national championships and Heisman Trophy honours.

Dart’s Debut Season with the Giants

Dart is coming off an inaugural year with New York. He showed promise despite the team’s overall 4-13 record.

  • He completed 63.7 percent of his throws.
  • He passed for 2,272 yards.
  • He had 15 touchdowns compared to five interceptions in 14 games.

Dart also showed off his dual-threat capabilities, rushing for 487 yards and nine scores while averaging 5.7 yards per attempt.
