Jodar vs Carreno-Busta: An All-Spanish Clash
Rafael Jodar and Pablo Carreno-Busta are set to face off. Jodar has won four of his last five matches. This week in Paris, Jodar defeated Kovacevic in straight sets in the opening round, saving one breakpoint. In the second round, Jodar won against Duckworth in four sets. His toughest challenge was against Michelsen, where he trailed 1-2 but turned the match around, winning in five sets.
Pablo Carreno-Busta has also won four of his last five matches. At the French Open, Carreno-Busta upset Lehecka in straight sets in the opening match, not offering any breakpoints. In the second round, Kokkinakis retired at the beginning of the third set against Carreno-Busta. In the third round, the Spaniard upset Tirante in four tight sets. Last season in Paris, Carreno-Busta lost to Tiafoe in the second round in straight sets.
