Findlay Curtis Impresses for Kilmarnock, Rangers Re-evaluate Loan Plans

Rangers manager Danny Rohl has been given another reason to trust Findlay Curtis, as his loan spell at Kilmarnock continues to be a success. Curtis’s strong performances suggest he could be an option for Rangers in midfield next season.

Curtis scored in his last appearance for Killie, helping them secure a fourth successive win with a 4-1 victory at Livingston on Sunday. His performances at Rugby Park have seen him emerge as one of the most exciting young wingers in the Premiership.

Curtis’s Versatility a Boost for Rangers

The 19-year-old’s fine showings must have seen him return to Rohl’s plans for next term. His latest performance shows that he can also be an option in midfield as well as on the left flank.

Another loan spell for Curtis has not been ruled out in Rangers’ transfer plans for the summer. However, it’s suggested they must not let him leave, given his ability to perform in several positions.

  • Curtis has five goals and one assist in 14 appearances for Kilmarnock this season.
  • He has predominantly played on the right and left wing.
  • He featured on the right of a three-man midfield in his last game.

Rohl Urged to Include Curtis in First-Team Plans

Curtis showed his quality with his final goal of the season on Sunday. He diverted a low cross across the box into the far side of the net to make it 3-1.

His performance was made even more impressive by the fact that he featured on the right of a three-man midfield. He was tasked with holding his place in the middle of the park rather than having the freedom to roam the final third.

It is never a bad thing for a young player like the Scotland star to add more strings to their bow. This latest example of Curtis shining in a different position should show Rohl just how valuable he can be to Rangers next season and beyond.

Sources have exclusively revealed that Curtis could be sent out on loan again in the upcoming window as the Gers plan to make several attacking signings.

He has now proven his quality in central midfield, on either wing and even at right-back in the last few weeks for Killie. Rohl clearly has to revise the plan for the 19-year-old and include him in his plans for next season.

Former Gers star Alan Hutton urged the German boss to utilise Curtis. Hutton said you can see him improving week-on-week.

Rohl will be keen to see Curtis impress in North America ahead of potentially returning to Ibrox.
