Feltner Returns as Rockies Face Astros After Series Loss

Ryan Feltner will start for the Rockies as they begin a three-game series against the Astros.

Feltner’s return comes after he was hit with a 106.3 mph line drive to the right hip on March 31. He had thrown three scoreless innings against the Toronto Blue Jays, with four strikeouts, one walk and one hit. While he couldn’t return for the fourth inning, he won’t miss any time.

Astros Look to Continue Dominance

The Astros have had the Rockies’ number in recent years. Since 2023, Houston is 11-3 against Colorado, outscoring them 75-43. This includes a two-game sweep in Mexico City in 2024 where the Astros outscored Colorado 20-4. Houston took the 2025 series 4-2.

The Astros are coming off a 2-1 series loss to the A’s. Despite the series loss, Houston outscored the A’s 25-23.

Pitching Matchup

Feltner (0-0, 0.00 ERA) will face Houston’s Cody Bolton (0-0, 3.00 ERA). Bolton has one appearance this season, giving up a solo home run with three hits, one walk and five strikeouts on March 31 against Boston. He closed out Hunter Brown’s quality start in the 9-2 win over the Red Sox, giving up one run on one hit with two walks and eight strikeouts.

Hunter Brown was originally slated to start, but was placed on the 15-day IL with a shoulder strain on Sunday.
