Embiid Ruled Out as 76ers Face Nets in Saturday Matinee

The Philadelphia 76ers are set to host the Brooklyn Nets for a Saturday afternoon game.

However, the Sixers will be without their former NBA MVP.

Embiid Misses Eighth Straight Game

Joel Embiid has been ruled out of the game against Brooklyn because of a right oblique strain.

This will be the eighth consecutive game Embiid has missed. His last game action was against the Miami Heat on Feb. 26.

It is not yet known when he might return to the court for Philadelphia.

Sixers Shorthanded Against Nets

In addition to Embiid, the Sixers will also be without Tyrese Maxey (right finger tendon injury), Andre Drummond (back spasms), Paul George (suspension) and Kelly Oubre Jr. (left elbow sprain) against Brooklyn.

The Sixers will be shorthanded for the game.

Embiid’s Season Stats

  • Embiid has appeared in just 33 games for Philadelphia.
  • He has posted averages of 26.6 points.
  • He also averages 7.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.1 blocks per performance.

The Philadelphia 76ers will look to avoid a second straight loss when they host the Brooklyn Nets.
