Ekitike Suffers Injury During Champions League Match

During a Champions League match, Ekitike suffered what looks like a bad injury. This forced PSG into an early change.

Liverpool’s Performance Improves, But PSG Still Dominate

Liverpool’s performance was much improved compared to last week’s match. Alan Shearer noted that Liverpool have offered a threat. However, the stats still favour PSG with more possession, more shots, and more attempts on target.

Stephen Warnock observed that Liverpool are causing themselves their own problems, overplaying in midfield. He added that Alexis Mac Allister has not been at the races. Liverpool’s set-pieces and final delivery have not been great.

After a corner by Mo Salah was easily cleared, a pass by Ryan Gravenberch inside the PSG box went straight to an opposition player, wasting two decent opportunities. Stephen Warnock said that if you want anyone to recover, it is Dominik Szoboszlai, describing him as an absolute machine with so much athleticism and strength.

Ian Dennis said you cannot take your eye of this game for a minute. Ibrahima Konate produced a fine challenge before Ousmane Dembele fired into the side netting.

Barcelona’s Frustration and Atletico’s Lead

Barcelona are furious, believing they should have had a penalty after a challenge by Marcos Llorente. Elizabeth Conway reported that a normally calm Hansi Flick is visibly furious.

Ferran Torres finds Dani Olmo in the box. He glides past a defender and goes down under pressure but the referee refuses to point to the spot.

Nuno Mendes has limped off to be replaced by Lucas Hernandez.

The winner of the tie plays either Arsenal or Sporting in the semi-final.

Diego Simeone never stops on the sideline!
