Alex Eala is set to face Iva Jovic in the first round of the French Open 2026.
The Filipino tennis ace will battle her doubles partner, Iva Jovic of the United States, on Tuesday (Manila time).
Eala’s Preparation for the French Open
Eala, who recently turned 21, feels more ready for her second main draw appearance at the French Open 2026. With a full clay season behind her, Eala believes she has improved significantly compared to her main draw Grand Slam debut last year.
“I feel definitely prepared more than last year. I think I have improved a lot on this surface,” Eala said in a press conference.
She added, “Of course, I have such a long way to go but I think I’ve improved a lot in the past year as a player and it’s really helped me manage the challenges that come with the surface for me.”
The Upcoming Match
Eala is set to face Jovic in the first round at Roland Garros.
Eala is competing in her second main draw appearance at the French Open 2026.
