2016 U.S. Open Victory at Oakmont
Johnson’s first major win came at the 2016 U.S. Open, held at Oakmont Country Club. He finished at 4-under, surpassing Shane Lowry, Scott Piercy, and Jim Furyk, who tied for second at 1-under. Johnson earned a payout of $1,800,000 for the win.
During the final round, Lowry had seven bogeys and just one birdie. Johnson, in contrast, recorded three birdies and two bogeys.
