Dundee and Hibernian settled for a share of the spoils after a dramatic six-goal Scottish Premiership match at Dens Park.
The visitors took an early lead through Owen Elding, but Simon Murray quickly equalised for the hosts. Luke Graham put Dundee ahead after the break, but Hibs responded with goals from Ante Suto and Jamie McGrath in the final six minutes. Cameron Congreve then popped up to snatch a draw for Dundee in stoppage time.
Following the draw, Dundee are seven points clear of Kilmarnock in the relegation play-off spot. Hibs are now seven points behind fourth-placed Motherwell.
Early Exchanges and a Quickfire Equaliser
Dundee manager kept faith with the team that won against Aberdeen at Pittodrie last Saturday. Joe Westley, Ash Hay and Brad Halliday returned from injury and started on the bench. Hibs made one change to the team that beat Celtic at Parkhead last Sunday, with Dane Scarlett replacing Martin Boyle.
Dundee threatened first in the seventh minute when Cameron Congreve delivered a corner from the right to Ethan Hamilton. However, Hamilton’s header went over the bar.
Hibs made the breakthrough in the 11th minute when Nicky Cadden crossed from the left and Owen Elding headed past Jon McCracken in the Dundee goal. Dundee equalised in the 15th minute when Graham found Murray inside the Hibs box. Murray turned Rocky Bushiri and his shot deflected in off the defender.
Second-Half Drama at Dens Park
In the 56th minute, Hibs had a chance when the ball broke to Elding inside the box, but he blasted over. The visitors upped the tempo and threatened again with chances for Felix Passlack and McGrath.
Instead, Dundee took the lead in the 72nd minute when Drey Wright crossed into the Hibs box and Graham fired past Sallinger. Hibs equalised in the 84th minute when Suto controlled a ball from Martin Boyle and slotted a shot under McCracken.
Jamie McGrath then scored Hibs’ third goal just five minutes later, skipping past defenders before blasting a low shot past McCracken.
Congreve Rescues a Point for Dundee
Deep into stoppage time, Cameron Congreve snatched a draw for the home side.
