Amelia Kerr and Jacob Duffy have been recognised at the New Zealand Cricket Awards.
White Ferns captain Kerr secured an unprecedented fourth-straight Debbie Hockley Medal while Duffy claimed the Sir Richard Hadlee Medal.
Duffy’s Test Dominance
Duffy took 25 test wickets at an average of 16, including three five-wicket hauls in just four tests.
The Southlander delivered over 150 overs in the three-test series against the West Indies, more than any other New Zealand bowler.
This was highlighted by a marathon 43-over stint against the West Indies in the first Test at Christchurch.
Kerr’s Super Smash Success
Kerr helped the Wellington Blaze to their third-straight Super Smash title.
She also topped the run-scoring for the White Ferns in T20 internationals with 354 runs at an average of 70.
Multiple Awards for Duffy
Duffy also picked up the Test Player of the Year award and the Winsor Cup for men’s first-class bowling.
He became one of the few players to claim three major awards in a single evening.
Bert Sutcliffe Medal
Former New Zealand player, board director, board chair, and NZC chief executive Martin Snedden was recognised with the Bert Sutcliffe Medal for outstanding services to cricket.
A stunning century from White Fern Amelia Kerr has helped the Wellington Blaze to a 49-run victory over the Auckland Hearts in the women’s Super Smash.
