Dodgers Face White Sox: Hope Starts in Left Field

The Dodgers and White Sox, co-tenants at Camelback Ranch, are set to face off. The Dodgers will be the road team. Zyhir Hope, a non-roster invitee and a top-100 prospect, is leading the Dodgers with 19 games played this spring, having missed only one day thus far.

He is making his first start this spring, in left field.

Dodgers Lineup Against White Sox

The Dodgers’ lineup includes Andy Pages in centre field, Kyle Tucker as the designated hitter, and Mookie Betts at shortstop. Freddie Freeman will be at first base, Max Muncy at third base, and Alex Freeland at second base. Dalton Rushing is catching, Zach Ehrhard is in right field, and Zyhir Hope is in left field.

Justin Wrobleski will be pitching.

Pitching Plans and Minor League Call-Ups

Tanner Scott, Alex Vesia, and Jack Dreyer are slated to pitch. Chris Campos, a non-roster invitee, is also slated to pitch.

Davis Chastain, Joseilyn Gonzalez, Nicolas Cruz, and Dilan Figueredo are up from the minor league side of camp. Michael Siani is active, as are non-roster mainstays Ryan Fitzgerald, James Tibbs III, Nick Senzel, Noah Miller, Eliézer Alfonzo, and Seby Zavala.

Young Talents Get a Look-In

Chris Newell and Kole Myers are up from minor league camp. Also active for the first time this spring are Taylor Young, Jaron Elkins, and Chase Harlan. Young, Elkins, and Harlan were second-day draft picks from 2022, 2023, and 2024 respectively.

Elkins last season was second in the Dodgers minors (to Kendall George) with 63 steals with a 91.3-percent success rate. Young was fifth with 44 steals.

Mookie Betts is playing after the birth of his third child. Kyle Tucker is starting back-to-back days for the first time this spring.
