Dodger Stadium is offering a limited edition Shohei Ohtani souvenir cup this season.
The cup, available at concession stands, costs $68.99.
However, the price includes free refills for the entire season.
Cup Details and Refill Offer
Fountain drinks at the stadium cost about $11.99 each. With this in mind, the cup pays for itself after approximately six refills.
The same Ohtani cups were sold for $74.99 on Opening Day, where free refills were only available on the day of purchase.
The Dodgers confirmed the price drop but declined to comment further.
An Instagram post from Dodger Stadium Hospitality stated the cups can be refilled for free at every 2026 home game.
The post stated: “Limited Edition Collector’s Cup available now! Purchase your cup and receive fountain soda refills all season long,” and featured photos of a cup designed to resemble Ohtani’s jersey, complete with his name and No. 17.
Resale Market
Despite the price, a resale market has emerged for the Ohtani cups. Five cups have been sold on eBay for prices ranging from $199.99 to $290.
At least nine others are listed for sale with asking prices ranging from $185 to $339.
The cup can still be purchased at Dodger Stadium.
It seems that some buyers may be huge Ohtani fans who live in, say, Japan and can’t quite make it out to Chavez Ravine to add to their collection of memorabilia.
Or maybe they’re local fans who have a thirst that only 20-plus refills can quench.
