The Dodgers faced Team Mexico in an exhibition game at Camelback Ranch. This match formed part of the preparations for the World Baseball Classic.
Exhibition Ahead of Tournament Play
There is no Cactus League game for the Dodgers, but they hosted Team Mexico. Across Arizona and Florida, there were 31 games featuring a World Baseball Classic team playing a major league team on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
Tournament play for these teams begins on Friday. Pools A, B, and D will be in San Juan, Houston, and Miami, respectively.
Glasnow’s Second Spring Start
Tyler Glasnow made his second start this spring. He threw 33 pitches in two-plus innings last Thursday against the Chicago White Sox, facing one batter in the third inning by design.
Glasnow and Yoshinobu Yamamoto are the two Dodgers starting pitchers stretched out the most so far this spring. Yamamoto got to three innings before leaving for the World Baseball Classic.
The exhibition game is one of a handful for teams in preparation of the World Baseball Classic.
