Dodgers Face Angels: Snell to Start, Kochanowicz on the Mound

Blake Snell is scheduled to make a start for the Dodgers. This comes as the Dodgers open a series against the Angels on Friday night at Angel Stadium in Anaheim.

Snell Gets the Nod After Glasnow’s Setback

Snell’s start comes after Tyler Glasnow was sidelined a week ago due to back spasms. The Dodgers then approached Snell about throwing his planned five innings and 75 pitches in the majors. He was originally scheduled to play for Class-A Ontario.

In his first game back, Snell needed 77 pitches to complete three innings. He allowed five runs in a loss to the Atlanta Braves, showing some rust.

Angels Counter with Kochanowicz

Jack Kochanowicz is set to start for the Angels. He has a 3.97 ERA and 5.00 xERA through eight starts.

Kochanowicz is coming off his worst game of the season. He allowed seven runs (six earned) in four innings against the Blue Jays on Saturday in Toronto. Prior to that outing, the right-hander had a 2.17 ERA in his previous six starts.

Where to Watch and Listen

The game will be broadcast on SportsNet LA and KTTV channel 11. The Angels broadcast will also be available. Radio coverage will be on AM 570 (English) and KTNQ 1020 AM (Spanish).

The Dodgers and Angels will face off at Angel Stadium in Anaheim.
