Daniel Berger’s relationship with Tori Slater recently reached a new milestone. After dating for 10 years, Berger proposed to Slater on May 1, 2025. They shared the news with heartwarming photos, though wedding plans have not been revealed.
A Decade-Long Relationship
Berger and Slater have kept their private life largely out of the public eye. They rarely speak about each other publicly. Slater has often been seen supporting Berger at tournaments.
Their relationship began around 2015, two years after Berger turned professional. Slater’s first social media post featuring Berger was on April 10, when they attended a game between the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat at the Kaseya Center.
College Connections
The couple has not publicly disclosed how they met. Their college timelines suggest a connection through the Florida college scene.
Berger played college golf at Florida State University in Tallahassee. Slater attended the University of Kentucky before transferring to Florida Atlantic University, where she earned a business and marketing degree.
Berger’s Career and Recent Challenges
Berger turned pro in 2013. He has earned almost $30 million in career earnings. The golfer last won a PGA Tour trophy in 2021.
In mid-2022, Berger suffered a lower back injury, sidelining him for 19 months. An evaluation in December 2022 revealed a slight bulge in a lower disc and “deep bone sensitivity.” He underwent an extended rehabilitation program to avoid surgery, focusing on strengthening his core and back.
Last year, Berger also broke his right ring finger during the BMW Championship, requiring more time off.
Leading at Bay Hill
Berger leads the field by one stroke heading into the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational on Sunday. He is aiming to secure his ticket to the Masters next month. Berger has yet to win a major championship in his career.
Berger will be aiming to claim the title at Bay Hill Club.
